I am Kyra Elgersma, photographer based in Zwolle. My camera joins me at the most special moments there are: the birth of a child, a growing belly, the first weeks at home and the ordinary, beautiful life of a family.

My style is warm and honest. I prefer natural light and love images with the tones of a summer evening: soft, warm and timeless. No heavy editing, no forced poses. What you see in the photo is what was really there.

During a shoot you will mostly notice calm. I take my time, never force anything and only give direction where it helps. That is exactly how the photos are made that will move you later: the look on your partner's face, the little hands of your child, all of you together.
